Data Access

All data collected through the LEVANTE Framework is completely de-identified. LEVANTE never holds any data that are regulated under HIPAA (US) or GDPR (EU). To learn more, please see the Ethics and Privacy page.

Data storage

All data collected through the LEVANTE dashboard are initially saved in a Google Firebase database. This database supports the dashboard and measure apps but is not directly accessible to researchers.

Data flow from Firebase to the LEVANTE Data Repository (LDR) via a set of validators that ensure de-identification.

The LDR is hosted on Redivis, a data hosting platform that provides versioning and access control. Researchers providing details to ethics review boards may be interested in the Redivis Security and Privacy policies.

Site data access

For sites or collaborators, data are accessed directly through Redivis and through the rlevante R package, which can be found here:

Public data access

No LEVANTE data are currently available to the public as we are still in the pilot phase of the project. More details will be available in fall 2025.
